Formed in 1963, the Paraplegic and Quadriplegic Association of SA Inc. (PQSA) is the peak community body supporting people with Spinal Cord Injury to live their potential. PQSA also support the wider community by providing individualised and premium services through their commercial operation, HomeCare+.
Reporting to the CEO, this key role is responsible for oversight and leadership of the Lifestyle Support Team. The major focus of the Lifestyle Support Team is supporting and enhancing the lives of people with Spinal Cord Injury and other physical or neurological conditions by developing and providing of a range of programs and services to better improve their lifestyle.
- Review and adapt services and programs to ensure premium-level service delivery
- Demonstrate senior experience, knowledge and leadership in the disability sector and NDIS
- Oversee the development & implementation of innovative programs to meet client needs
- Develop strong stakeholder relationships
- Review cost-effectiveness of programs
- Provide strong leadership to the team
As a member of the executive team, the position contributes to the effective leadership of the organisation and provides direct support to the Chief Executive Officer by acting in their absence.
Candidates with demonstrated senior experience, deep knowledge and leadership of the disability sector and NDIS are sought for this important role. You will have tertiary qualifications in Human Services or related discipline and proven experience in managing and leading complex teams and/or business to deliver a high level of service and client outcomes.
To be successful in the role will require highly developed interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with and build effective relationships with a diverse range of people; and ability to actively lead change in a complex and challenging work environment.
