SEAPA Group and Garon Plastics are leading South Australian manufacturing businesses known for quality, innovation, and operational excellence. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to support the end-to-end finance function across multiple entities within the group.

This is a hands-on role blending senior bookkeeping and assistant accounting responsibilities, offering exposure to a fast-paced commercial environment and the opportunity to take ownership of core finance operations.

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting timely reporting and decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Full function bookkeeping across multiple entities
  • General ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and fixed assets
  • AP, AR and payroll processing (PAYG, Super, payroll tax)
  • BAS and GST preparation and compliance support
  • Monthly reporting, budgeting and variance analysis support
  • Maintaining and improving accounting systems and processes

As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Demonstrate proven experience in MYOB payroll, bookkeeping or assistant accounting
  • Have strong payroll, GST and BAS knowledge
  • Display high proficiency in MYOB and Xero (Pronto also an advantage)
  • Be detail-oriented, proactive and able to work independently
  • Possess a Degree or Diploma in Accounting (CPA / CA desired)

You will also be a person of high integrity with a strong sense of accountability who is organized, proactive and solutions focused. The ability to clearly and confidently communicate effectively is vital, as is being able to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
