Mildura Airport is Victoria’s largest regional airport and services around 230,000 airline passengers every year. Reporting to the Board, Mildura Airport Ltd seek a CEO to ensure that sound practices are applied in the efficient and effective management of its operations. Mildura Airport Pty Ltd operates under the Corporations Act and has one shareholder, Mildura Rural City Council. In 2008 the Mildura Rural City Council resolved to corporatise the Mildura Airport and appoint an independent board and management team to lead and operate the organisation.
Ideally with extensive Aviation experience in the airport sector, your contemporary leadership style and business development skills will be complemented by sound strategic planning, quality/risk management, safety, governance, resource and project management together with a strong business acumen thereby ensuring that the assets and resources of the airport are properly managed and community service obligations are fulfilled.
You will have extensive experience in service delivery with a deep focus on building and sustaining constructive relationships across a diverse range of customers.
You will be a professional with a proven track record of achieving results; a reputation for establishing and sustaining highly effective working relationships and engaging stakeholders to identify and deliver on commercial opportunities and enhance Mildura Airport’s reputation as a highly regarded community and business hub for the Sunraysia region.
You will be able to demonstrate sound judgement and decision making qualities to balance the commercial priorities with the strategic importance of Mildura Airport to the community, local business and all levels of government. You will be a people leader with a strong focus on the development, effective performance and well being of your team.
Your skills and experience will preferably be supported by Tertiary qualifications in business, commercial or another relevant disciplines. Leadership experience within the aviation industry is desirable however not essential.
