Southern Region Waste Resource Authority (SRWRA) is a leader in delivering innovative and sustainable waste management services.

As the operator of a technically advanced waste management hub, SRWRA support the cities of Onkaparinga, Marion and Holdfast Bay to drive positive impact across Southern Adelaide communities and the environment.

The operation includes traditional landfill, a materials recovery facility JV, a recycling centre JV and a renewable energy hub.

The Board works closely with the CEO to ensure their vision is realised within a structure of sound governance and leadership and financial and environmental sustainability.

With a focus on future strategy, the Board is looking to recruit an experienced director to join its ranks.

Applications are encouraged from appropriately qualified SA based professionals who have demonstrated board and commercial experience. Specifically, SRWRA are looking for experienced Directors with skills in any of the following areas:

  • strategic financial and commercial acumen
  • related Board, JV experience
  • commercial expertise in the waste management sector

In addition, applicants should have well developed governance skills and exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills with regular board meetings and committees on which directors participate. The role requires candidates who have the time to commit to the board calendar.
