The Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide is an area of 105,000 sq kms and takes in the city of Adelaide and outer metropolitan areas, York Peninsula, Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu Peninsula, Kangaroo Island, Coorong, South East and Limestone Coast.

An opportunity presents itself for a talented Human Resources Advisor to contribute to the ongoing development, implementation, support and monitoring of the broad range of Human Resource services for management, staff, clergy and Parishes, in accordance with the Archdiocesan Strategic Plan.

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, this is a people focused position encompassing wide ranging HR and ER responsibilities that is underpinned by a positive customer-centric approach. You will provide advice, guidance and support to Managers and Parish Priests in all aspects of industrial and employee relations, with an emphasis on credibility, consistency and equity. You will also influence and facilitate the implementation and use of best practice Human Resource principles.

Selection Criteria essential to your success in this role:

  • demonstrated experience in providing guidance, support and advice on HR & ER matters.
  • a sound understanding of current employment legislation and industrial relations.
  • ability to acquire and analyze data, and report on the findings.
  • exceptional technical experience with the implementation of HRM systems
  • high level verbal and writing skills, including the ability to develop policies and procedures,
  • a proven track record creating pragmatic people solutions.

To be considered for this role you must demonstrate good judgement and well-developed problem-solving skills, hold relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources with significant experience guiding and shaping the HR/ ER function within a medium to large sized, organisation. You will also possess highly developed interpersonal skills and a proven track record of effective collaboration across functional areas.
